On Wednesday, 26 November, Matt and the band lit up the stage at the Battle of the Commentators event, hosted by sporting legends Will Carling and Austin Healy at the dazzling Evolution venue in Battersea Park, London.

In an extraordinary gesture, Matt and his management declined their performance fee, choosing instead to have it donated directly to the event’s fundraising mission.

Their generosity helped fuel a truly unforgettable afternoon, culminating in an astonishing £1 million being raised for Motor Neurone Disease (MND), along with vital support for several other deserving charities.

Austin Healy summed up the afternoon perfectly: “We cannot thank you enough. Everyone was over the moon to raise over £1 million in a single afternoon — made possible by the incredible generosity of people like Matt.”
